It is our mission to develop, improve and promote sustainable intermodal mobility combining innovative rail, waterway, road, air and maritime transport solutions.
We aim at using every mode of transport in the most optimal way by improving their links with each other (also called “co-modality”).

EIA organisation structure
Responsibility: to define the principles of EIA policy and approve the strategy and program of activities proposed by the Steering Committee. The GA meets in principle once a year. Membership: the GA is made up of ‘full members‘. Each member delegates a representative (with the of power of attorney) to the GA.

In order to support members and keep them regularly informed about current intermodal transport developments, a staff of three are based in the EIA headquarters in Brussels each with their own specific tasks on a full time or part-time basis.
